Authorities in Bucks County have named a suspect in a string of fatal shootings that led to a shelter-in-place directive early Saturday. The individual sought is Andre Gordon, 26, reportedly seen driving a stolen vehicle.
The incident unfolded when police responded to a shooting report on Viewpoint Lane in Falls Township before 9 a.m. Gordon allegedly perpetrated two fatal shootings at a residence there before fleeing in a stolen vehicle. Subsequently, around 9 a.m., he allegedly proceeded to Edgewood Lane and fatally shot another person before fleeing again.
Around 9:15 a.m., Gordon purportedly carjacked a vehicle at gunpoint in the Dollar General parking lot on Bristol Pike in Morrisville. Thankfully, the driver of the carjacked vehicle was unharmed.
It’s reported that Gordon had prior connections with all of the victims who tragically lost their lives. Additionally, he is believed to be homeless with ties to Trenton, New Jersey. The vehicle he was last seen operating is a dark gray 2016 Honda CRV with a Pennsylvania license plate KFR-1534, as confirmed by police who released images of both Gordon and the vehicle.
In a subsequent development, the carjacked Honda was reportedly found unoccupied in Trenton, New Jersey, prompting a response from SWAT teams. Local authorities sought additional resources from neighboring departments, including the Pennsylvania and New Jersey State Police.
The fallout from the incident resulted in the cancellation of the Bucks County St. Patrick’s Day Parade and temporary closure of several local businesses due to the shelter-in-place order.
Governor Josh Shapiro, upon being briefed about the situation, directed the Pennsylvania State Police to collaborate with local law enforcement and provide necessary support. Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, a Levittown native, characterized the incident as an ‘active shooter’ situation in a statement following the events.
